What to Expect?

The island offers a unique experience for nature lovers. You can enjoy pristine white sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters, and abundant marine life.

Isla Contoy is home to over 150 species of birds, such as frigatebirds, pelicans, and roseate spoonbills.

Day 3 :

After boarding, our first stop will be Isla Mujeres (Magic Town), where we will stay for approximately one hour before sailing to Isla Contoy.

Day 4 :

Before arriving, we will be doing the snorkeling activity at the Ixlache Reef or El Meco, depending on the weather conditions. We will be here for approximately 40 minutes.

Day 5 :

After snorkeling, we will head to Isla Contoy where we can enjoy an exploration tour with our certified guide, visiting the lagoon to admire the more than 150 species of birds on the island, walking along trails to discover the endemic flora and fauna, or enjoying free time to relax on the beach or admire the incredible landscapes of this beautiful island in the Mexican Caribbean.

Day 6 :

Here, we will enjoy a delicious meal in the natural setting that characterizes Isla Contoy.

Additional Information

  • Additional cost of $20 USD for the dock fee per person. Non-refundable.
  • Pregnant women or visitors with any disability must always be accompanied by a family member or friend who will assist them at all times.
  • Limited capacity: Due to its ecological sensitivity, only a maximum of 200 visitors are allowed per day. Therefore, it is essential to book your tour in advance to secure your spot.
  • Bring comfortable clothing and footwear: For participating in activities and walking along the trails.
  • Respect the environment: Do not litter and avoid damaging the flora and fauna.
  • Use of sunscreen is prohibited: The chemicals found in sunscreens are highly harmful to coral reefs and marine life. It is recommended to wear long-sleeve clothing, a hat, and sunglasses for sun protection.
  • Restricted areas: There are areas of the island that are off-limits to the public in order to protect endangered species and fragile ecosystems.
  • Do not remove any items from the island: It is prohibited to take shells, corals, rocks, or other natural elements from the island.
  • Activities may change due to weather or sea conditions.
